Like my other lentil recipe, this dish isn’t exactly food porn, but trust me, it is delicious!
1/2 cup Cooked brown lentils (try Trader Joe’s steamed lentils)
1/4 cup walnuts
~3 tbs worth caramelized onions
1 tbs olive oil
A few grinds of freshly cracked black pepper
Rustic-y bread (try Trader Joe’s whole wheat Tuscan)
Brush olive oil on bread and toast at 400°F for about 10 minutes. Keep watching and checking it. You want the edges crunchy and the bread lightly toasty.
Purée pâté ingredients in a blender.
Spread pâté on bread and slice in half diagonally.
